Conscious Cravings – vegan & gluten free cafe on Mornington Peninsula

Conscious Cravings is an entirely vegan and gluten free cafe on the Mornington Peninsula.

They are based in a cute little building on a retail site known as ‘The Coolstores’ that also houses an Endota Spa and some other restaurants. There is a small amount of seating inside and on the veranda, with further outdoor seating around the back of the building.

At the counter you will see some of the takeaway meal options as well as a large selection of slices and mini ‘magnums’ – all vegan, gluten free, raw, organic, refined sugar free, soy and agave free. They are well known for their desserts and supply many cafes around Melbourne.  Some flavours to tempt you are salted caramel, jaffa tart, white choc raspberry and raspberry lamington.

The meals are all freshly prepared with lots of healthy ingredients and staff can let you know the FODMAP friendly options. You will find traditional breakfasts (even vegan bacon), granola, crepes, avocado on toast, wraps, salads and savoury tarts.

The menu changes seasonally, so look at the menu online or their Facebook page for the current offerings. The photo on the right below was a delicious (and filling!) chocolate and banana crepe with toasted hazelnuts.

The drinks menu is comprehensive with tea, coffee, plant based milks, smoothies, milkshakes and iced drinks, such as kombucha.
