Gluten Free Bakery, Queensland
The Gluten Free Bakery in Queensland is a family run gluten free bakery providing many delicious sweet and savoury bakery items. Their products are stocked all around Australia in many IGA and Foodworks supermarkets as well as health food stores – a full list is on their website (link below).
You can also pop into their factory outlet in Narangba, which is around 30km north of Brisbane.
I dropped in last year driving from the Sunshine Coast to Brisbane and picked up my favourite item, a honey roll, which takes me back to my childhood. I buy these in Melbourne from Sunnybrook Health Store, which also stocks some of their other products.
The factory shop is on an industrial estate and you can pick up frozen products as well as a few pantry staples. The freezer below shows items such as bread, puff pastry, quiche, pies sausage rolls, cakes/muffins, donuts, lamingtons and pizza. They also produce seasonal products, such as hot cross buns.
As mentioned, I love the honey roll, with the delicious sweet filling in the middle. If you don’t want to defrost the whole log, just cut a slice with a sharp knife and let it defrost – it doesn’t take long.
Another nice treat to have in the freezer for when cravings strike, are the cinnamon donuts.
Unfortunately I don’t have photos of many other products, so if you have a favourite product you enjoy, please comment below or send photos and I will add them to the post.
If you shop in the smaller supermarkets or health food stores, be sure to check out their freezers for Gluten Free Bakery products!
