Jo Jo’s Gluten Free Goodies – 100% gluten free Melbourne

Source: Jo Jo’s Facebook

Jo Jo’s Gluten Free Goodies is a 100% gluten free kitchen producing delicious savoury items (pies, sausage rolls, quiche), bread, slices and cakes which are available at markets around outer Melbourne.

You can buy the savoury items warm to eat straight away, or cold to take home.  You can also order in advance for family size pies and quiches to collect at a market.

I visited at Mornington Sunday Market and was able to have a sausage roll while wandering around the market.  I honestly felt it was as close to ‘normal’ as you could get for a gluten free sausage roll and would definitely buy it again.

I couldn’t resist a cute looking sticky date pudding cake, which I warmed through slightly when I got home and was A-MA-ZING with the icing added back and melting into it!

The gluten free pies also looked good, so I took home a pepper steak and chicken vegetable pie which my husband and I shared for dinner that night and really enjoyed both.  My husband is not a fan of gluten free bread/pastry alternatives, but he was very happy with the pastry on these pies.

The pies have plenty of filling as you can see below!

You don’t just have to take my word for the great taste, as they recently won Australia’s Best Gluten Free Pie and Pastie Awards in the 2017 Baking Association of Australia competition.   The pie that won was the steak and caramelised onion and the pastie was the roast veggie.
