Marché du Macaron – Brisbane 100% gluten free bakery

 Brisbane 100% gluten free bakery

Marché du Macaron is an entirely gluten free bakery with two locations in suburban Brisbane. This picture is of the Gordon Park store which is around 7km from the city.

I had seen lots of people swooning about their macarons on coeliac Facebook groups and they have a cabinet full of macrons in many different flavours (cinnamon donut flavour anyone?).

They change what they are making each day, so keep an eye out on their Instagram page for what is on offer each day. I have seen profiteroles, cinnamon donuts, celebration cakes, a variety of breads/rolls (sweet & savoury), hot cross buns, egg and bacon rolls  – the list goes on!

I was interested in something savoury for lunch and was lucky as there were a few slices left of a pizza style focaccia. They warmed it up for me and it was delicious! It has been a long time since I have had a gluten containing focaccia, but this certainly lived up to my memory of them and the cheese and other toppings made it moist and flavoursome.

They had also some cake slices, cookies, rocky road and some cheesy bread rolls.

As I had also been to Nodo I was still full of donuts so didn’t buy any cakes. However I couldn’t resist getting a bag of home made musk sticks to take me back to my childhood. They were exactly the same taste (I love musk) but softer than ones I was used to, which meant they just melted in my mouth and were incredibly more-ish!

Next time I’m in Brisbane I will try some sweet treats as they all looked fabulous.

Marché du Macaron is not a cafe but both stores have some tables and chairs outside and you can buy a drink to go with your gluten free treats.
