Mornington – The Good Food Bakery

A fantastic gluten free bakery, with both onsite baked goods and products from local gluten free businesses.  Satisfy your sweet tooth with donuts, a variety of cakes and slices (even vanilla slice!), including vegan options. There is a good choice of pies, quiches and sausage rolls (ready to heat or warm to eat straight away).  Pre-made wraps and toasted sandwiches are available to eat in or takeaway.

Loaves of bread from various suppliers are on display behind the counter and there is also a freezer with ice cream, meats from 100% gluten free butcher, Brian’s Gourmet Meats and more!  A great addition to the area and the owners and staff are very friendly and informative. A gluten free mini supermarket with hundreds of gluten free products – fresh and frozen.  Get all the main brands in one spot and stock up on those hard to find items. You will also find lots of things suitable for low fructose, low FODMAP, lactose free and sugar free. Open 7 days.

Mornington – Hawker Nguyen (by Le Feu)

Le Feu in Aspendale have oped an Asian street hawker food cafe with an entirely gluten free menu – including spring rolls, dumplings, fried chicken and boa buns.  Dairy free and vegan options. Menu is apparently also free of peanuts, but please make your own enquiries if you have an allergy.

Dromana – TWØBAYS Brewing Co

Founded by a coeliac who was missing beer, this brewery has 7 gluten free beers on tap and 8 gluten free pizzas to soak up the beer!  Click here for a detailed review. There is also more information in this article by Visit Mornington Peninsula.

TBA – Conscious Cravings Co*

This cafe is entirely vegan, gluten free and has many FODMAP friendly options.

Traditional breakfasts (even vegan bacon), granola, crepes, avo on toast etc or lunches include wraps, salads or a savoury tart.  They are well known for their desserts and have a large selection of slices and mini ‘magnums’ – all vegan, gluten free, raw, organic & refined sugar free.

Jo Jo’s Gluten Free Goodies

Jo Jo’s Gluten Free Goodies is a 100% gluten free kitchen producing delicious savoury items (pies, sausage rolls, quiche), bread, slices and cakes which are available at markets around outer Melbourne.  The pastry is amazing and lots of delicious fillings.  Take your esky to take cold pies home or eat while wandering around the market.  Also available for catering.

Arancini 4 all 

Delicious arancini that are cooked fresh to order (in rice bran oil) and all gluten free with vegan and FODMAP friendly options.  Choose from several flavours or get a mixed box!  My personal favourite is the mushroom and thyme.

OMG Decadent Donuts 

Gluten free and vegan donuts dusted with real fruits, nuts and spices. At markets and events around the Mornington Peninsula– check out their social media pages for where they will be. This franchise is also in Queensland.


Crackle Corn

This popcorn is highly addictive, so I warn you, you will not be able to stop at one handful!  Choose from salted caramel, burnt honey caramel, rosemary caramel, gingerbread caramel, peanut butter caramel, and chocolate caramel. All flavours are gluten free and there is the option for a dairy free salted caramel.  All packets may contain traces of nuts, soy & sesame.
