Totally Gluten Free Bakery in Christchurch, NZ

The Totally Gluten Free Bakery is a 100% gluten free bakery in Christchurch, New Zealand. It is located just outside of the city centre on Colombo Street, Sydenham.  It is a takeaway only bakery, with a large variety of cakes, biscuits, breads and frozen foods such as pies.

Passing through Christchurch while on holiday in the south island, I went looking for some late lunch and they usually would have hot pies and soup available but unfortunately I was a bit late at 3pm. They were able to microwave a cheese scroll for me which filled a huge hole.  (Sorry I took a bite before taking the photos!)

I couldn’t resist a cinnamon scroll for later as this is something I miss from my gluten eating days. It was quite dense but still tasted nice. I imagine it would be better warmed and softened in the microwave but I didn’t have access to one to test the theory out.

For snacks while on the road, I bought a two pack of lamingtons and they were very nice and stayed fresh over a couple of days.

Someone on Instragram recommended the cheese straws, so I popped back for them and these were a huge hit!
