York is a great place for gluten free (see York post here) and now the train station also has some really good gluten free options.
This post was last updated in November 2016.
Filmore & Union, which has a great restaurant in town, has a platform cafe with seating so you can eat in or take-away. The food is of really high standard and all made fresh daily. There is both hot and cold food as well as coffees and fresh juices.
For the warm food you can have a gluten free wrap or “hot pots” – either soup or the daily hot pot.
For cold meals there are a selection of salads and I chose the chicken skewers on a bed of salad with a lovely pea/mint puree. Unfortunately I forgot to pick up cutlery, so I waited until we got home to eat it and it was worth the wait!
You will also find a lovely array of cakes!
If you know your schedule in advance, you can order meals and cakes with 48 hours notice, and they will have it ready for you to collect.

ÜGOT is a rapidly expanding chain of cold press juice and health food bars with a take-away only kiosk on Platform 3.
Walking towards the shop, seeing gluten free in big red letters gives a coeliac a lot of hope! The options are clearly marked up, with salads, warm wraps and soups.

Costa have a gluten free wrap option, and when I visited in September 2015 they had the newly launched coronation chicken wrap.
Costa is opposite Filmore & Union. For more information on sandwiches and wraps in general, please see the lunch on the run post.
West Cornwall Pasty Co.
Look for their gluten free pasty option (served in a sealed bag)
There is also a Burger King at York station. For their allergy information, see the Nutrition section on their website.
WH Smith and other stores
There are other stores at the station where you can buy snacks like chocolate and crips.
