York station gluten free
York is a great place for gluten free (see York post here) and now the train station also has some really good gluten free options.
You don’t need a ticket to get onto the platforms where the best gluten free food is waiting for you!

It is believed this store may now be closed as many sites in the north have closed. Filmore and Union has a platform cafe with seating so you can eat in or take-away. The food is of really high standard and all made fresh daily. There is both hot and cold food as well as coffees and fresh juices.
For the warm food you can have a gluten free wrap or “hot pots” – either soup or the daily hot pot.
For cold meals there are a selection of salads and I chose the chicken skewers on a bed of salad with a lovely pea/mint puree. Unfortunately I forgot to pick up cutlery, so I waited until we got home to eat it and it was worth the wait!
You will also find a lovely array of cakes!
If you know your schedule in advance, you can order meals and cakes with 48 hours notice, and they will have it ready for you to collect.

There are other stores at the station where you can buy snacks like chocolate and crips.
