The Truscott Arms, London *CLOSED*
The Truscott Arms is a gastro pub in Maida Vale, a short walk from the canals of Little Venice.
August 2016 update – this venue has unexpectedly closed due to a 333% rent increase.
August 2017 update – rumours it was reopening, but with different owners, it is unlikely the menu will be the same.

They have a fantastic gluten free menu, and even have fish and chips! As there are coeliacs in the owner’s family, they have set out to make coeliacs feel normal going out to the pub by providing gluten free beer and lots of safe food options. If you look at their website, you will find a page dedicated to gluten free.
I visited on a Monday night and only the bar menu was available, rather than the full menu (Wednesday to Saturday), but I could still have lovely fish and chips! Gluten free fish and chips is a rare treat for me and it was well worth the trip from West London 🙂
For more information on the full menu, please check out the glowing review by Gluten Free Foodie! The roast lamb shoulder also gets a great write up by Miranda Bryant in the Evening Standard’s 10 best gluten free dishes in London (Dec 2014).
